The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.11.28, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 28 of Madhya-khanda chapter 11—“The Characteristics of Nityananda”.

চৈতন্যের বচন-অঙ্কুশ মাত্র মানে নিত্যানন্দ মত্ত-সিংহ আর নাহি জানে ॥ ২৮ ॥
चैतन्येर वचन-अङ्कुश मात्र माने नित्यानन्द मत्त-सिंह आर नाहि जाने ॥ २८ ॥
caitanyera vacana-aṅkuśa mātra māne nityānanda matta-siṃha āra nāhi jāne || 28 ||
caitanyera vacana-ankusa matra mane nityananda matta-simha ara nahi jane (28)
English translation:
(28) Nityānanda was like a maddened lion and could not be controlled by anything other than Lord Caitanya’s words, which were like a sharp iron hook.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The word vacanāṅkuśa refers to a controlling stick in the form of words.
