The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.10.149, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 149 of Madhya-khanda chapter 10—“Conclusion of the Lord’s Maha-prakasha Pastimes”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.10.149:

অন্তরে ছাডিল শিব, সে না জানে ইহাসেবা ব্যর্থ হৈল, মৈল সবংশে পুডিযা ॥ ১৪৯ ॥

अन्तरे छाडिल शिव, से ना जाने इहासेवा व्यर्थ हैल, मैल सवंशे पुडिया ॥ १४९ ॥

antare chāḍila śiva, se nā jāne ihāsevā vyartha haila, maila savaṃśe puḍiyā || 149 ||

antare chadila siva, se na jane ihaseva vyartha haila, maila savamse pudiya (149)

English translation:

(149) He did not know that Lord Śiva rejected him from his heart. Therefore Rāvaṇa’s service was fruitless and he was burned to death along with his family.
