The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.9.166, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 166 of Madhya-khanda chapter 9—“The Lord’s Twenty-One Hour Ecstasy and Descriptions of Shridhara and Other Devotees’ Characteristics”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.9.166:

প্রভু বলে,—“কেনে ভাই শ্রীধর তপস্ বীঅনেক তোমার অর্থ আছে হেন বাসি ॥ ১৬৬ ॥

प्रभु बले,—“केने भाइ श्रीधर तपस् वीअनेक तोमार अर्थ आछे हेन वासि ॥ १६६ ॥

prabhu bale,—“kene bhāi śrīdhara tapas vīaneka tomāra artha āche hena vāsi || 166 ||

prabhu bale,—“kene bhai sridhara tapas vianeka tomara artha ache hena vasi (166)

English translation:

(166) The Lord would say, “O brother Śrīdhara, why do you live like an ascetic when you have so much wealth?
