The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.9.140, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 140 of Madhya-khanda chapter 9—“The Lord’s Twenty-One Hour Ecstasy and Descriptions of Shridhara and Other Devotees’ Characteristics”.

এক-বার খোলা-গাছি কিনিযা আনয খানি খানি করি’ তাহা কাটিযা বেচয হে wওউল্দ্ বুয্ ওনে বনন ত্রেএ, চুত্ ইত্ ইন্তো পিএচেস্, অন্দ্ থেন্ সেল্ল্ থোসে পিএচেস্. ॥ ১৪০ ॥
एक-बार खोला-गाछि किनिया आनय खानि खानि करि’ ताहा काटिया वेचय हे wओउल्द् बुय् ओने बनन त्रेए, चुत् इत् इन्तो पिएचेस्, अन्द् थेन् सेल्ल् थोसे पिएचेस्. ॥ १४० ॥
eka-bāra kholā-gāchi kiniyā ānaya khāni khāni kari’ tāhā kāṭiyā vecaya He would buy one banana tree, cut it into pieces, and then sell those pieces. || 140 ||
eka-bara khola-gachi kiniya anaya khani khani kari’ taha katiya vecaya He would buy one banana tree, cut it into pieces, and then sell those pieces. (140)
English translation:
(140) The phrase kholā-gāchi refers to a whole banana tree with the trunk intact.
