The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.9.53, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 53 of Madhya-khanda chapter 9—“The Lord’s Twenty-One Hour Ecstasy and Descriptions of Shridhara and Other Devotees’ Characteristics”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.9.53:

“জয জয জয সর্ব-জগতের নাথ তপ্ত জগতেরে কর শুভ দৃষ্টিপাত ॥ ৫৩ ॥

“जय जय जय सर्व-जगतेर नाथ तप्त जगतेरे कर शुभ दृष्टिपात ॥ ५३ ॥

“jaya jaya jaya sarva-jagatera nātha tapta jagatere kara śubha dṛṣṭipāta || 53 ||

“jaya jaya jaya sarva-jagatera natha tapta jagatere kara subha drstipata (53)

English translation:

(53) “All glories to the Lord of all universes! Please glance mercifully on the living entities who are afflicted with the threefold material miseries.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word tapta means “burned by the threefold miseries.”
