The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.8.260, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 260 of Madhya-khanda chapter 8—“The Manifestation of Opulences”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.8.260:

“ও কীর্তন না দেখিলে কি হৈবে মন্দ? শত শত বেডি’ যেন করে মহা-দ্বন্দ্ব ॥ ২৬০ ॥

“ओ कीर्तन ना देखिले कि हैबे मन्द? शत शत वेडि’ येन करे महा-द्वन्द्व ॥ २६० ॥

“o kīrtana nā dekhile ki haibe manda? śata śata veḍi’ yena kare mahā-dvandva || 260 ||

“o kirtana na dekhile ki haibe manda? sata sata vedi’ yena kare maha-dvandva (260)

English translation:

(260) “What is the loss if we do not see their kīrtana? Their kīrtana is like a big argument among hundreds of people.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

“What is the problem if we do not participate in their kīrtana? Their kīrtana is just like a great argument among hundreds of people.” The word dvandva means “debate,” “quarrel,” or “fight.”
