The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.8.252, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 252 of Madhya-khanda chapter 8—“The Manifestation of Opulences”.

কেহ বলে,—“এ-গুলা দেখিতে না যুযায এ গুলার সম্ভাষে সকল-কীর্তি যায ॥ ২৫২ ॥
केह बले,—“ए-गुला देखिते ना युयाय ए गुलार सम्भाषे सकल-कीर्ति याय ॥ २५२ ॥
keha bale,—“e-gulā dekhite nā yuyāya e gulāra sambhāṣe sakala-kīrti yāya || 252 ||
keha bale,—“e-gula dekhite na yuyaya e gulara sambhase sakala-kirti yaya (252)
English translation:
(252) Someone else said, “They are not fit to be seen. By conversing with them, all of our piety will be lost.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
Someone said, “By seeing such people, all the previously acquired merits of a brāhmaṇa are destroyed. Therefore one should never see their faces.”
