The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.8.237, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 237 of Madhya-khanda chapter 8—“The Manifestation of Opulences”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.8.237:

কেহ বলে,—“ভাল ছিল নিমাই পণ্ডিত তার কেন নারাযণ কৈল হেন চিত” ॥ ২৩৭ ॥

केह बले,—“भाल छिल निमाइ पण्डित तार केन नारायण कैल हेन चित” ॥ २३७ ॥

keha bale,—“bhāla chila nimāi paṇḍita tāra kena nārāyaṇa kaila hena cita” || 237 ||

keha bale,—“bhala chila nimai pandita tara kena narayana kaila hena cita” (237)

English translation:

(237) Another person said, “Previously Nimāi Paṇḍita was a good person. Why has Lord Nārāyaṇa changed His heart like this?”
