The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.8.13, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 13 of Madhya-khanda chapter 8—“The Manifestation of Opulences”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.8.13:

ঈষত্ হাসিযা বলে শ্রীবাস পণ্ডিত “আমারে পরীক্ষ’ প্রভু, এ নহে উচিত ॥ ১৩ ॥

ईषत् हासिया बले श्रीवास पण्डित “आमारे परीक्ष’ प्रभु, ए नहे उचित ॥ १३ ॥

īṣat hāsiyā bale śrīvāsa paṇḍita “āmāre parīkṣa’ prabhu, e nahe ucita || 13 ||

isat hasiya bale srivasa pandita “amare pariksa’ prabhu, e nahe ucita (13)

English translation:

(13) Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita smiled and said, “O Lord, it is not proper for You to test me.
