The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.7.148, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 148 of Madhya-khanda chapter 7—“The Meeting of Gadadhara and Pundarika”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.7.148:

গদাধর আজ্ঞা মাগিলেন প্রভু-স্থানে পুণ্ডরীক-মুখে মন্ত্র-গ্রহণ-কারণে ॥ ১৪৮ ॥

गदाधर आज्ञा मागिलेन प्रभु-स्थाने पुण्डरीक-मुखे मन्त्र-ग्रहण-कारणे ॥ १४८ ॥

gadādhara ājñā māgilena prabhu-sthāne puṇḍarīka-mukhe mantra-grahaṇa-kāraṇe || 148 ||

gadadhara ajna magilena prabhu-sthane pundarika-mukhe mantra-grahana-karane (148)

English translation:

(148) Then Gadādhara asked the Lord for permission to take mantra initiation from Puṇḍarīka.
