The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.6.83, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 83 of Madhya-khanda chapter 6—“The Lord’s Meeting with Advaita Acarya”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.6.83:

মকর-বাহন-রথ এক বরাঙ্গনা দণ্ড-পরণামে আছে যেন গঙ্গা-সমা ॥ ৮৩ ॥

मकर-वाहन-रथ एक वराङ्गना दण्ड-परणामे आछे येन गङ्गा-समा ॥ ८३ ॥

makara-vāhana-ratha eka varāṅganā daṇḍa-paraṇāme āche yena gaṅgā-samā || 83 ||

makara-vahana-ratha eka varangana danda-paraname ache yena ganga-sama (83)

English translation:

(83) He saw a beautiful woman resembling Gaṅgā sitting on a shark and offering obeisances to the Lord.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

A wonderful woman who resembled Gaṅgā was offering obeisances from a chariot that was drawn by a shark.
