The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.5.73, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 73 of Madhya-khanda chapter 5—“Lord Nityananda’s Vyasa-puja Ceremony and His Darshana of the Lord’s Six-armed Form”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.5.73:

শ্রীবাসাদি সবাই চলিলা গঙ্গা-স্নানে দণ্ড থুইলেন প্রভু গঙ্গায আপনে ॥ ৭৩ ॥

श्रीवासादि सबाइ चलिला गङ्गा-स्नाने दण्ड थुइलेन प्रभु गङ्गाय आपने ॥ ७३ ॥

śrīvāsādi sabāi calilā gaṅgā-snāne daṇḍa thuilena prabhu gaṅgāya āpane || 73 ||

srivasadi sabai calila ganga-snane danda thuilena prabhu gangaya apane (73)

English translation:

(73) Accompanied by Śrīvāsa and other devotees, the Lord went to the Ganges and put the broken daṇḍa in the water.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Mahāprabhu personally threw Nityānanda Svarūpa’s daṇḍa into the Ganges.
