The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.5.53, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 53 of Madhya-khanda chapter 5—“Lord Nityananda’s Vyasa-puja Ceremony and His Darshana of the Lord’s Six-armed Form”.

সঙ্কীর্তন-আরম্ভে মোহার অবতার ঘরে ঘরে করিমু কীর্তন-পরচার ॥ ৫৩ ॥

सङ्कीर्तन-आरम्भे मोहार अवतार घरे घरे करिमु कीर्तन-परचार ॥ ५३ ॥

saṅkīrtana-ārambhe mohāra avatāra ghare ghare karimu kīrtana-paracāra || 53 ||

sankirtana-arambhe mohara avatara ghare ghare karimu kirtana-paracara (53)

English translation:

(53) “I have descended to inaugurate the saṅkīrtana movement, by which I will preach the chanting of the holy names in each and every house.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

In the Saura Purāṇa it is stated:

svarṇa gauraḥ sudīrghāṅgas tri-srota-tīra-sambhavaḥdayāluḥ

kīrtana-grāhī bhaviṣyāmi kalau yuge

“In the beginning of Kali-yuga I will appear in Navadvīpa on the bank of the Ganges in an enchanting golden form with arms that extend to the knees, and out of My causeless I will inaugurate the saṅkīrtana movement.” It is also stated in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (11.5.32):

kṛṣṇa-varṇaṃ tviṣākṛṣṇaṃ sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ

“In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the names of Kṛṣṇa. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Kṛṣṇa Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions.”
