The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.4.55, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 55 of Madhya-khanda chapter 4—“Revelation of Nityananda’s Glories”.
Verse 2.4.55-056
Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.4.55-056:
প্রভু বলে,—“আমরা-সকল ভাগ্যবান্ তুমি-হেন ভক্তের হৈল উপস্থান আজি কৃতকৃত্য হেন মানিল আমরাদেখিল যে তোমার আনন্দ-বারিধারা” ॥ ৫৫-০৫৬ ॥
प्रभु बले,—“आमरा-सकल भाग्यवान् तुमि-हेन भक्तेर हैल उपस्थान आजि कृतकृत्य हेन मानिल आमरादेखिल ये तोमार आनन्द-वारिधारा” ॥ ५५-०५६ ॥
prabhu bale,—“āmarā-sakala bhāgyavān tumi-hena bhaktera haila upasthāna āji kṛtakṛtya hena mānila āmarādekhila ye tomāra ānanda-vāridhārā” || 55-056 ||
prabhu bale,—“amara-sakala bhagyavan tumi-hena bhaktera haila upasthana aji krtakrtya hena manila amaradekhila ye tomara ananda-varidhara” (55-056)
English translation:
(55-056) The Lord said, “We are all fortunate to have a great devotee like You among us. We consider that today our lives have become successful for we have seen Your flowing tears of love.”
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The Lord replied, “Today we are most fortunate. Our lives have become successful by the arrival of a servant of the Lord like You and by seeing Your tears of love.”
The word upasthāna (upa—“near” + sthā—“to remain” +
an—bhāve—anaṭ) means “presence” or “come near.”
