The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.254, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 254 of Madhya-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Manifestation at the House of Shrivasa and the Inauguration of Sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.254:

ঊর্ধ্ব পুচ্ছ করি’ কেহ চতুর্-দিকে ধায কেহ যুঝে, কেহ শুযে, কেহ জল খায ॥ ২৫৪ ॥

ऊर्ध्व पुच्छ करि’ केह चतुर्-दिके धाय केह युझे, केह शुये, केह जल खाय ॥ २५४ ॥

ūrdhva puccha kari’ keha catur-dike dhāya keha yujhe, keha śuye, keha jala khāya || 254 ||

urdhva puccha kari’ keha catur-dike dhaya keha yujhe, keha suye, keha jala khaya (254)

English translation:

(254) Some of the cows raised their tails and ran about, some of them fought each other, some laid down, and some drank water.
