The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.24, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 24 of Madhya-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Manifestation at the House of Shrivasa and the Inauguration of Sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.24:

আভিজাত্যে হয বড-মানুষের পুত্র নীলাম্বর-চক্রবর্তী,—তাঙ্হার দৌহিত্র ॥ ২৪ ॥

आभिजात्ये हय बड-मानुषेर पुत्र नीलाम्बर-चक्रवर्ती,—ताङ्हार दौहित्र ॥ २४ ॥

ābhijātye haya baḍa-mānuṣera putra nīlāmbara-cakravartī,—tāṅhāra dauhitra || 24 ||

abhijatye haya bada-manusera putra nilambara-cakravarti,—tanhara dauhitra (24)

English translation:

(24) “He is from an aristocratic family, for He is the son of Nīlāmbara Cakravartīs daughter.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word ābhijātye means “in aristocracy” or “in the honor of high birth.”
