The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.296, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 296 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.296:

‘রত্নগর্ভ-আচার্য’ বিখ্যাত তাঙ্র নাম প্রভুর পিতার সঙ্গী, জন্ম—এক গ্রাম ॥ ২৯৬ ॥

‘रत्नगर्भ-आचार्य’ विख्यात ताङ्र नाम प्रभुर पितार सङ्गी, जन्म—एक ग्राम ॥ २९६ ॥

‘ratnagarbha-ācārya’ vikhyāta tāṅra nāma prabhura pitāra saṅgī, janma—eka grāma || 296 ||

‘ratnagarbha-acarya’ vikhyata tanra nama prabhura pitara sangi, janma—eka grama (296)

English translation:

(296) He was well known by the name Ratnagarbha Ācārya, and he was a friend of the Lord’s father, being born in the same village.
