The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.288, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 288 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.288-290:

প্রভু বলে,—“সন্ধি-কার্য-জ্ঞান নাহি যার কলি-যুগে ‘ভট্টাচার্য’-পদবী তাহার শব্দ-জ্ঞান নাহি যার, সে তর্ক বাখানে আমারে ত’ প্রবোধিতে নারে কোন-জনে যে আমি খণ্ডন করি, যে করি স্থাপন দেখি,—তাহা অন্যথা করুক কোন্ জন?” ॥ ২৮৮-২৯০ ॥

प्रभु बले,—“सन्धि-कार्य-ज्ञान नाहि यार कलि-युगे ‘भट्टाचार्य’-पदवी ताहार शब्द-ज्ञान नाहि यार, से तर्क वाखाने आमारे त’ प्रबोधिते नारे कोन-जने ये आमि खण्डन करि, ये करि स्थापन देखि,—ताहा अन्यथा करुक कोन् जन?” ॥ २८८-२९० ॥

prabhu bale,—“sandhi-kārya-jñāna nāhi yāra kali-yuge ‘bhaṭṭācārya’-padavī tāhāra śabda-jñāna nāhi yāra, se tarka vākhāne āmāre ta’ prabodhite nāre kona-jane ye āmi khaṇḍana kari, ye kari sthāpana dekhi,—tāhā anyathā karuka kon jana?” || 288-290 ||

prabhu bale,—“sandhi-karya-jnana nahi yara kali-yuge ‘bhattacarya’-padavi tahara sabda-jnana nahi yara, se tarka vakhane amare ta’ prabodhite nare kona-jane ye ami khandana kari, ye kari sthapana dekhi,—taha anyatha karuka kon jana?” (288-290)

English translation:

(288-290) The Lord said, “In Kali-yuga, one who does not have any knowledge

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

about the conjunction of words is awarded the title Bhaṭṭācārya. And one who has no knowledge of grammar is engaged in explaining logic. But none of them can defeat Me. Who can challenge the way I refute and reestablish a sūtra?”
