The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.231, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 231 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.231:

শুন শুন মাতা, জীব-তত্ত্বের সংস্থান ভুমিতে পডিলে মাত্র হয আগেযান ॥ ২৩১ ॥

शुन शुन माता, जीव-तत्त्वेर संस्थान भुमिते पडिले मात्र हय आगेयान ॥ २३१ ॥

śuna śuna mātā, jīva-tattvera saṃsthāna bhumite paḍile mātra haya āgeyāna || 231 ||

suna suna mata, jiva-tattvera samsthana bhumite padile matra haya ageyana (231)

English translation:

(231) “O mother, please hear attentively about the living entity’s condition. He loses consciousness on touching the ground.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase jīva-tattvera saṃsthāna refers to the state or situation of the materialistic conditioned soul who has forgotten Kṛṣṇa.
