The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.48, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 48 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.48:

‘প্রেম-বৃষ্টি করিতে প্রভুর শুভারম্ভ’ ধ্বনি শুনি’ যায যথা ভাগবত-বৃন্দ ॥ ৪৮ ॥

‘प्रेम-वृष्टि करिते प्रभुर शुभारम्भ’ ध्वनि शुनि’ याय यथा भागवत-वृन्द ॥ ४८ ॥

‘prema-vṛṣṭi karite prabhura śubhārambha’ dhvani śuni’ yāya yathā bhāgavata-vṛnda || 48 ||

‘prema-vrsti karite prabhura subharambha’ dhvani suni’ yaya yatha bhagavata-vrnda (48)

English translation:

(48) Devotees immediately came when they heard about the auspicious beginning of the Lord’s distribution of love.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Being compassionate to the living entities, the Lord began to shower love of God at an auspicious moment. As soon as this news was circulated, the devotees immediately came to see Him.
