The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.1.43, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 43 of Madhya-khanda chapter 1—“The Beginning of the Lord’s Manifestation and His Instructions on Krishna-sankirtana”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.43:

বুঝিতে না পারে আই পুত্রের চরিত তথাপিহ পুত্র দেখি’ মহা-আনন্দিত ॥ ৪৩ ॥

बुझिते ना पारे आइ पुत्रेर चरित तथापिह पुत्र देखि’ महा-आनन्दित ॥ ४३ ॥

bujhite nā pāre āi putrera carita tathāpiha putra dekhi’ mahā-ānandita || 43 ||

bujhite na pare ai putrera carita tathapiha putra dekhi’ maha-anandita (43)

English translation:

(43) Mother Śacī could not understand the conduct of her son, yet she was overjoyed to see Him.
