Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

If one converses with a person who was born in a seminal brāhmaṇa family, who has undergone sāvitra-saṃskāra yet has not taken Vaiṣṇava initiation, who envies the Vaiṣṇavas and considers himself a non- Vaiṣṇava, then one’s heaps of accumulated piety are destroyed.
