The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.16.259, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 259 of Adi-khanda chapter 16—“The Glories of Shri Haridasa Thakura”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.16.259:

নিদ্রা ভঙ্গ হৈলে ক্রুদ্ধ হৈবে গোসাঞি দুর্ভিক্ষ করিবে দেশে,—ইথে দ্বিধা নাই” ॥ ২৫৯ ॥

निद्रा भङ्ग हैले क्रुद्ध हैबे गोसाञि दुर्भिक्ष करिबे देशे,—इथे द्विधा नाइ” ॥ २५९ ॥

nidrā bhaṅga haile kruddha haibe gosāñi durbhikṣa karibe deśe,—ithe dvidhā nāi” || 259 ||

nidra bhanga haile kruddha haibe gosani durbhiksa karibe dese,—ithe dvidha nai” (259)

English translation:

(259) “If the Lord’s sleep is disturbed, He’ll become angry and create a famine in this country. There’s no doubt about it.”
