The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.16.174, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 174 of Adi-khanda chapter 16—“The Glories of Shri Haridasa Thakura”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.16.174:

মহা নাগ বৈসে সেই গোফার ভিতরে তা’র জ্বালা প্রাণি-মাত্রে সহিতে না পারে ॥ ১৭৪ ॥

महा नाग वैसे सेइ गोफार भितरे ता’र ज्वाला प्राणि-मात्रे सहिते ना पारे ॥ १७४ ॥

mahā nāga vaise sei gophāra bhitare tā’ra jvālā prāṇi-mātre sahite nā pāre || 174 ||

maha naga vaise sei gophara bhitare ta’ra jvala prani-matre sahite na pare (174)

English translation:

(174) A huge snake lived within that cave, and no living entity could

tolerate the burning atmosphere produced from its poison.
