The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.16.116, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 116 of Adi-khanda chapter 16—“The Glories of Shri Haridasa Thakura”.

বিস্মিত হৈযা ভাবে সকল যবনে “মনুষ্যের প্রাণ কি রহযে এ মারণে? ॥ ১১৬ ॥

विस्मित हैया भावे सकल यवने “मनुष्येर प्राण कि रहये ए मारणे? ॥ ११६ ॥

vismita haiyā bhāve sakala yavane “manuṣyera prāṇa ki rahaye e māraṇe? || 116 ||

vismita haiya bhave sakala yavane “manusyera prana ki rahaye e marane? (116)

English translation:

(116) The Moslems were astonished to see this, and thought, “Can a human being survive after such a beating?
