The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.15.87, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 87 of Adi-khanda chapter 15—“Marriage with Shri Vishnupriya”.

তথি-মধ্যে লোভিষ্ঠ অনেক জন আছে এক-বার লৈযা পুনঃ আর কাচ কাচে ॥ ৮৭ ॥

तथि-मध्ये लोभिष्ठ अनेक जन आछे एक-बार लैया पुनः आर काच काचे ॥ ८७ ॥

tathi-madhye lobhiṣṭha aneka jana āche eka-bāra laiyā punaḥ āra kāca kāce || 87 ||

tathi-madhye lobhistha aneka jana ache eka-bara laiya punah ara kaca kace (87)

English translation:

(87) Among them, some greedy brāhmaṇas received their gifts and then returned a second time in different dress to again receive gifts.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase tathi-madhye (used in ancient Bengali) means “among them.”

The word lobhiṣṭha (lobha—“greed”+(to indicate excessive)

iṣṭha—“desired”) means “extremely greedy.”
