The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.12.278, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 278 of Adi-khanda chapter 12—“The Lord’s Wandering Throughout Navadvipa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.12.278:

“পণ্ডিত, আমরা পডিবাঙ তোমা’ স্থানে কিছু জানি,—হেন কৃপা করিবা আপনে” ॥ ২৭৮ ॥

“पण्डित, आमरा पडिबाङ तोमा’ स्थाने किछु जानि,—हेन कृपा करिबा आपने” ॥ २७८ ॥

“paṇḍita, āmarā paḍibāṅa tomā’ sthāne kichu jāni,—hena kṛpā karibā āpane” || 278 ||

“pandita, amara padibana toma’ sthane kichu jani,—hena krpa kariba apane” (278)

English translation:

(278) They would say, “O Paṇḍita, we wish to study with You. Please be merciful, so that we may learn something.”
