The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.9.58, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 58 of Adi-khanda chapter 9—“Nityananda’s Childhood Pastimes and Travels to Holy Places”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.9.58:

কোন শিশু বোলে,—“মুঞি আইলুঙ্ রাবণ শক্তি-শেল-হানি এই, সম্বর’ লক্ষ্মণ!” ॥ ৫৮ ॥

कोन शिशु बोले,—“मुञि आइलुङ् रावण शक्ति-शेल-हानि एइ, सम्वर’ लक्ष्मण!” ॥ ५८ ॥

kona śiśu bole,—“muñi āiluṅ rāvaṇa śakti-śela-hāni ei, samvara’ lakṣmaṇa!” || 58 ||

kona sisu bole,—“muni ailun ravana sakti-sela-hani ei, samvara’ laksmana!” (58)

English translation:

(58) One boy said, “I am the mighty Rāvaṇa. Now I’m releasing the śakti-

śela weapon. Stop it if You can, Lakṣmaṇa!”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word hāni (from the dhātu) means “to release,” “to throw,” “to beat,” or “to hit.” The word samvara means “to stop,” “to control,” “to check,” “to save,” “to halt,” “to obstruct,” “to suppress,” “or to curb the movement of.”
