The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.8.137, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 137 of Adi-khanda chapter 8—“The Disappearance of Jagannatha Mishra”.

বস্ত্র আদি যত কিছু পাইলেন ঘরে খান্-খান্ করি’ চিরি’ ফেলে দুই করে ॥ ১৩৭ ॥
वस्त्र आदि यत किछु पाइलेन घरे खान्-खान् करि’ चिरि’ फेले दुइ करे ॥ १३७ ॥
vastra ādi yata kichu pāilena ghare khān-khān kari’ ciri’ phele dui kare || 137 ||

English translation:
(137) He tore apart the cloth and everything else He found in the house.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The word khān-khān comes from the word khaṇḍa, which means
“pieces.” The word ciri comes from the Sanskrit root chid, which means “to pierce” or “to cut.”
