The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.7.140, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 140 of Adi-khanda chapter 7—“Shri Vishvarupa Takes Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.7.140:

কিছু বিলসিতে নারে, দুঃখে পুডি’ মরে যা’র নাহি, তাহা হৈতে দুঃখী বলি তা’রে ॥ ১৪০ ॥

किछु विलसिते नारे, दुःखे पुडि’ मरे या’र नाहि, ताहा हैते दुःखी बलि ता’रे ॥ १४० ॥

kichu vilasite nāre, duḥkhe puḍi’ mare yā’ra nāhi, tāhā haite duḥkhī bali tā’re || 140 ||

kichu vilasite nare, duhkhe pudi’ mare ya’ra nahi, taha haite duhkhi bali ta’re (140)

English translation:

(140) “Such a person cannot enjoy a thing and thus burns in misery. I consider him more miserable than one who does not possess anything.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word vilasite means “to freely enjoy.”
