Verse 1.6.24

অসম্ভব শুনিযা জননী করে খেদ “হেন কথা কহে, যেই নহে লোক বেদ” ॥ ২৪ ॥

असम्भव शुनिया जननी करे खेद “हेन कथा कहे, येइ नहे लोक वेद” ॥ २४ ॥

asambhava śuniyā jananī kare kheda “hena kathā kahe, yei nahe loka veda” || 24 ||

asambhava suniya janani kare kheda “hena katha kahe, yei nahe loka veda” (24)

English translation:

(24) Hearing this impossible proposal, mother Śacī lamented, “You are requesting something that is not sanctioned in the Vedas or in ordinary dealings.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The phrase yei nahe loka veda refers to that which is not found in worldly tradition or in the Vedas, that which is not customary in worldly or Vedic dealings, or that which is beyond the scope of ordinary and Vedic etiquette.
