The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.124, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 124 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.124:

প্রভু বোলে,—“অযে বিপ্র, তুমি ত’ উদার তুমি আমা’ ডাকি’ আন’, কি দোষ আমার? ॥ ১২৪ ॥

प्रभु बोले,—“अये विप्र, तुमि त’ उदार तुमि आमा’ डाकि’ आन’, कि दोष आमार? ॥ १२४ ॥

prabhu bole,—“aye vipra, tumi ta’ udāra tumi āmā’ ḍāki’ āna’, ki doṣa āmāra? || 124 ||

prabhu bole,—“aye vipra, tumi ta’ udara tumi ama’ daki’ ana’, ki dosa amara? (124)

English translation:

(124) The Lord said, “O brāhmaṇa, you are indeed magnanimous. You call Me, so what is My fault?
