The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.73, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 73 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.73:

ভাল-মন্দ-জ্ঞান নাহি উহার শরীরে পরম অবোধ, যে এমন শিশু মারে ॥ ৭৩ ॥

भाल-मन्द-ज्ञान नाहि उहार शरीरे परम अबोध, ये एमन शिशु मारे ॥ ७३ ॥

bhāla-manda-jñāna nāhi uhāra śarīre parama abodha, ye emana śiśu māre || 73 ||

bhala-manda-jnana nahi uhara sarire parama abodha, ye emana sisu mare (73)

English translation:

(73) “He doesn’t understand what is right and what is wrong. Whoever beats such a child is a great fool.
