The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.35, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 35 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.35:

হাসিযা বিপ্রের অন্ন লৈযা শ্রী-করে এক গ্রাস খাইলেন, দেখে বিপ্র-বরে ॥ ৩৫ ॥

हासिया विप्रेर अन्न लैया श्री-करे एक ग्रास खाइलेन, देखे विप्र-वरे ॥ ३५ ॥

hāsiyā viprera anna laiyā śrī-kare eka grāsa khāilena, dekhe vipra-vare || 35 ||

hasiya viprera anna laiya sri-kare eka grasa khailena, dekhe vipra-vare (35)

English translation:

(35) The Lord smiled and took a handful of the brāhmaṇa’s rice. He then ate the rice as the brāhmaṇa watched.
