The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.2, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 2 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.2:

হেন মতে আছে প্রভু জগন্নাথ-ঘরে অলক্ষিতে বহু-বিধ স্বপ্রকাশ করে ॥ ২ ॥

हेन मते आछे प्रभु जगन्नाथ-घरे अलक्षिते बहु-विध स्वप्रकाश करे ॥ २ ॥

hena mate āche prabhu jagannātha-ghare alakṣite bahu-vidha svaprakāśa kare || 2 ||

hena mate ache prabhu jagannatha-ghare alaksite bahu-vidha svaprakasa kare (2)

English translation:

(2) In this way the Lord secretly manifested various pastimes while residing in the house of Jagannātha Miśra.

eka-dina ḍāki’ bole miśra-purandara “āmāra pustaka āna’ bāpa viśvambhara!

TRANSLATION

One day Jagannātha Miśra called to Viśvambhara, “My dear son, please bring my book.”
