The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.4.38, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 38 of Adi-khanda chapter 4—“Name-giving Ceremony, Childhood Pastimes, and Thieves Kidnap the Lord”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.4.38:

শিশু লঙ্ঘিবারে না পাইযা ক্রোধ-মনে অপচয করি’ পলাইল নিজ-স্থানে’ ॥ ৩৮ ॥

शिशु लङ्घिबारे ना पाइया क्रोध-मने अपचय करि’ पलाइल निज-स्थाने’ ॥ ३८ ॥

śiśu laṅghibāre nā pāiyā krodha-mane apacaya kari’ palāila nija-sthāne’ || 38 ||

sisu langhibare na paiya krodha-mane apacaya kari’ palaila nija-sthane’ (38)

English translation:

(38) “Being unable to harm the child, he angrily made this mess and then fled away.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word apacaya means “loss” or “destruction.”
