The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.4.11, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 11 of Adi-khanda chapter 4—“Name-giving Ceremony, Childhood Pastimes, and Thieves Kidnap the Lord”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.4.11:

কোন দেব অলক্ষিতে গৃহেতে সাম্ভায ছাযা দেখি’ সবে বোলে,—’এই চোর যায’ ॥ ১১ ॥

कोन देव अलक्षिते गृहेते साम्भाय छाया देखि’ सबे बोले,—’एइ चोर याय’ ॥ ११ ॥

kona deva alakṣite gṛhete sāmbhāya chāyā dekhi’ sabe bole,—’ei cora yāya’ || 11 ||

kona deva alaksite grhete sambhaya chaya dekhi’ sabe bole,—’ei cora yaya’ (11)

English translation:

(11) One of them secretly entered the Lord’s house, and when the people saw his shadow, they exclaimed, “There goes a thief!”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word sāmbhāya means “to enter.”
