The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.2.163, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 163 of Adi-khanda chapter 2—“The Lord’s Appearance”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.2.163:

ত্রেতা-যুগে হৈযা সুন্দর-রক্ত-বর্ণ হৈ’ যজ্ঞ-পুরুষ বুঝাও যজ্ঞ-ধর্ম ॥ ১৬৩ ॥

त्रेता-युगे हैया सुन्दर-रक्त-वर्ण है’ यज्ञ-पुरुष बुझाओ यज्ञ-धर्म ॥ १६३ ॥

tretā-yuge haiyā sundara-rakta-varṇa hai’ yajña-puruṣa bujhāo yajña-dharma || 163 ||

treta-yuge haiya sundara-rakta-varna hai’ yajna-purusa bujhao yajna-dharma (163)

English translation:

(163) “You appear in Tretā-yuga with a beautiful red complexion. Although You are the Lord of sacrifice, You set the example by engaging in the performance of sacrifice.
