119. Indra, on hearing that, praised himself with two stanzas (4, 5) as he showed himself a. The seer on seeing him was greatly rejoiced, and in the couplet "All this of thee' (visvet ta te: viii. 100. 6, 7) b darsayan fkr, darsayat b.-119 ab are found in B and m' only. - rsistam drstva hdm', rsistu drstva tam drstvarsisca brr 7, tam drstvarsisca f. - suprito hdr, samprito fk, sampriti b. & ab * Though somewhat redundant 119' is probably original, as it appears to have been known to the author of the Sarvanukramani; cp. the statement there: ayam iti dvrcena indra atmanam astaut. This and the further details (119 cd-124 ab) as to Rg-veda viii. 100 are passed over in the Sarvanukramani. 120. lauds both the gift of Indra and his various deeds. But (the stanza) 'Swift as thought' (manojavah: viii. 100. 8) is addressed to the Bird (suparna), while 'In the ocean' (samudre: 9) is (in) praise of the Bolt. danam hm`rb, panam fk - sauparni hmir, sauvarno bfr' r', sauvarni k. 121. In the couplet 'When Vac' (yad vak: 10, 11) he (the seer) praises the divine all-pervading Vac. May Dyaus make room (antara) for my outstretched bolt.'
