The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.3.33, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration, Word-for-word and English translation of verse 2.3.33:

भक्त्या परमया यत्नाद् अग्रे दृष्टीः प्रसारयन् ।
सूर्य-कोटि-प्रतीकासम् अपश्यं परमेश्वरम् ॥ ३३ ॥

bhaktyā paramayā yatnād agre dṛṣṭīḥ prasārayan |
sūrya-koṭi-pratīkāsam apaśyaṃ parameśvaram || 33 ||

bhaktyā–devotion; paramayā–great; yatnāt–with effort; agre–before; dṛṣṭī–my sight; prasārayan–stretching; sūrya–suns; koṭi–tens of millions; pratīkāśam–resembling; apaśyam–I beheld; parama-īśvaram–the Supreme Controller.

I crossed that layer with supreme devotion. As I struggled to look ahead, I saw the Supreme Lord, who was as effulgent as billions of suns.

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

The Supreme Lord’s form possessed the concentrated effulgence of billions of suns.
