The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.1.146, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 2.1.146 contained in Chapter 1—Vairagya (renunciation)—of Part two (prathama-khanda).

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration, Word-for-word and English translation of verse 2.1.146:

परमानन्द-पूर्णोऽहं प्रणमन् दण्डवन् मुहुः ।
व्यचिन्तयम् इदं स्वास्या-पश्यम् अद्य दिदृक्षितम् ॥ १४६ ॥

paramānanda-pūrṇo'haṃ praṇaman daṇḍavan muhuḥ |
vyacintayam idaṃ svāsyā-paśyam adya didṛkṣitam || 146 ||

paramānanda–with immense bliss; pūrṇaḥ–filled; aham–I; praṇaman–while bowing down; daṇḍa-vat–falling prostrate like a rod; muhuḥ–repeatedly; vyacintayam–I concluded; idam–this; svasya–of my own (Lord); apaśyam–I have seen; adya–today; didṛkṣitam–what I have long hankered to see.

Seeing the Lord, I became overwhelmed with great joy and prostrated before Him repeatedly. I thought, “Today, my long-standing desire to see the Lord has finally been fulfilled.”

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

Here, Gopa-kumāra speaks about his unfulfilled desire of many days. He says, “Today, my long-standing desire and hankering to see the Lord has been fulfilled; I have received His direct darśana.”
