The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 2.1.86, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 2.1.86 contained in Chapter 1—Vairagya (renunciation)—of Part two (prathama-khanda).

ततः स प्रातर् उत्थाय हृष्टः सन् प्रस्थितः क्रमात् ।
श्रीमन्-मधु-पुरीं प्राप्तः स्नातो विश्रान्त-तीर्थके ॥ ८६ ॥

tataḥ sa prātar utthāya hṛṣṭaḥ san prasthitaḥ kramāt |
śrīman-madhu-purīṃ prāptaḥ snāto viśrānta-tīrthake || 86 ||

tataḥ–then; saḥ–he; prātaḥ–in early morning; utthāya–arising; hṛṣṭaḥ–jubilant; san–being; prasthitaḥ–he set out; kramāt–gradually; śrīman-madhu-purīm–Śrī Mathurā; prāptaḥ–arrived; snātaḥ–bathed; viśrānta-tīrthake–at the holy place of Viśrāma-ghāṭa.

Getting up early the next morning, the brāhmaṇa began walking towards Vṛndāvana in a jubilant mood. Gradually, he arrived in Śrī Madhupurī (Mathurā), where he bathed at Viśrāma-ghāṭa.

Śrī Parīkṣit says, “Following Śrī Mādhava’s order, the brāhmaṇa traveled continuously and reached Śrī Mathurādhāma.”
