The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.7.68, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 1.7.68 contained in Chapter 7—Purna (pinnacle of excellent devotees)—of Part one (prathama-khanda).

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration, Word-for-word and English translation of verse 1.7.68:

तदानीम् एव संप्राप्तं भगवद्-भाव-कोविदम् ।
आरुह्यालक्षितस् तार्क्ष्यं निज-प्रासादम् आगतः ॥ ६८ ॥

tadānīm eva saṃprāptaṃ bhagavad-bhāva-kovidam |
āruhyālakṣitas tārkṣyaṃ nija-prāsādam āgataḥ || 68 ||

At this moment Śrī Garuḍa, who is expert in knowing the mind or moods of Bhagavān, also appeared there, and Śrī Kṛṣṇa, mounting his back, arrived at His palace in an undetected way.

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

Śrī Garuḍa appeared there at the same time of bathing, because he was fully aware of Bhagavān’s sentiment to enter the palace compound. Bhagavān mounted his back and undetected by anyone, arrived at the palace.
