The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.7.6, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 1.7.6 contained in Chapter 7—Purna (pinnacle of excellent devotees)—of Part one (prathama-khanda).

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration, Word-for-word and English translation of verse 1.7.6:

तत्रैव भगवत्-पार्श्वे रुदन्तं विनता-सुतम् ।
उच्चैः सम्बोध्य यत्नेन सबोधीकृत्य सोऽवदत् ॥ ६ ॥

tatraiva bhagavat-pārśve rudantaṃ vinatā-sutam |
uccaiḥ sambodhya yatnena sabodhīkṛtya so'vadat || 6 ||

The son of Vinatā, Śrī Garuḍa, standing nearby Bhagavān, was also weeping at that place. Śrī Brahmā loudly addressed him and began to speak cautiously in order to bring him to his senses.

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

Seeing the perplexed state of Bhagavān, Garuḍajī had fallen into a swoon too; therefore, Śrī Brahmā made Him fully conscious above everything else, and after that, he began to speak.
