The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.6.24, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 1.6.24 contained in Chapter 6—Priyatama (the most beloved devotees)—of Part one (prathama-khanda).

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration, Word-for-word and English translation of verse 1.6.24:

इदानीं यद् व्रजे गत्वा किम् अप्य् अन्वभवं ततः ।
महा-सौभाग्यमानो मे स सद्यश् चूर्णतां गतः ॥ २४ ॥

idānīṃ yad vraje gatvā kim apy anvabhavaṃ tataḥ |
mahā-saubhāgyamāno me sa sadyaś cūrṇatāṃ gataḥ || 24 ||

Nevertheless, after going to Vraja, my ego as the most fortunate person has been shattered to pieces.

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

The indescribable subject I experienced after going to Vraja tore me to pieces, that is, my ego of being the most fortunate. In other words, the glories described by you and the ego of considering myself extremely fortunate burst into pieces immediately. Although the magnificent and wonderful fortune of Śrī Uddhava referred to is like the Sumeru Mountain, even Mount Sumeru has been broken into shards now.
