महा-दिव्यासने दत्तेऽनुपविष्टं तद्-इच्छया ।
भूमाव् एवोपवेश्यामुं परितः स्वयम् आसत ॥ ९८ ॥mahā-divyāsane datte'nupaviṣṭaṃ tad-icchayā |
bhūmāv evopaveśyāmuṃ paritaḥ svayam āsata || 98 ||However, Śrī Nārada did not sit on that sacred seat, instead by his own desire he sat down on the ground. Seeing him seated on the ground all the Yādavas also sat upon the ground, surrounding him on all sides.

Śrī Nārada by his own volition, namely, out of affection at heart, sat down upon the ground. Then all the Yādavas also sat on the ground, surrrounding him in all directions.
