śrī-vaiṣṇavāgryeṇa samīkṣya dūrataḥ protthāya vipraḥ praṇato'ntikaṃ gataḥ || 2 ||

The foremost of Vaiṣṇavas, Śrī Prahlāda Mahārāja, was at that moment sitting in a solitary place, absorbed in meditation on the tender lotus feet of Bhagavān. From a distance, he saw the exalted Nārada Muni as if directly in front of him, and as he made himself ready for Śrī Nārada Muni’s reception, that foremost of sages rapidly approached. Rising from his seat, Śrī Prahlāda Mahārāja offered his prostrated praṇāma.

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

Although at that time the topmost of Vaiṣṇavas, Śrī Prahlāda Mahārāja, was absorbed in deep meditation, still from a distance he saw Śrī Nārada as if in direct darśana by the eye of dhyāna or deep meditation. Thus, he arose from his seat to greet the foremost of sages, who was quickly approaching him and offered him praṇāma. Where was Śrī Prahlāda and what state of mind was he in? He was in a solitary place and his heart was absorbed in rapturous meditation on the enchanting lotus feet of Śrī Bhagavān. So, in spite of sensing Śrī Nārada from afar, he was unable to stand up immediately.
