The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.4.1, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 1.4.1 contained in Chapter 4—Bhakta (the devotee)—of Part one (prathama-khanda).

श्री-परीक्षिद् उवाच—
श्रुत्वा महाश्चर्यम् इवेश-भाषितं प्रह्राद-सन्दर्शन-जात-कौतुकः ।
हृद्य् आनतः श्री-सुतले गतोऽचिराद् धावन् प्रविष्टः पुरम् आसुरं मुनिः ॥ १ ॥śrī-parīkṣid uvāca—
śrutvā mahāścaryam iveśa-bhāṣitaṃ prahrāda-sandarśana-jāta-kautukaḥ |
hṛdy ānataḥ śrī-sutale gato'cirād dhāvan praviṣṭaḥ puram āsuraṃ muniḥ || 1 ||Śrī Parīkṣit Mahārāja said: Having heard this wonderful discourse of Mahādeva, the best of sages, Śrī Nārada, longed to have the darśana of Śrī Prahlāda. So with great curiosity, by the transport of his mind, he quickly entered Sutala, the city of demons.

चतुर्थे स्वस्य माहात्म्यम् आक्षिप्योक्तं हनुमतः
प्रह्लादेन यथा तद्-वत् पाण्डवानां हनुमताcaturthe svasya māhātmyam ākṣipyoktaṃ hanumataḥ
prahlādena yathā tad-vat pāṇḍavānāṃ hanumatāIn this Fourth Chapter—Just as Śrī Prahlāda takes exception to his own glorification (with a gesture of shrugging it off) and counterpoints to the glories of Śrī Hanūmān; similarly, Śrī Hanūmān also describes the glories of the Pāṇḍavas.
Hṛd-yāna means mana-rūpī, that is, “the transport of the mind.” In other words, “I shall go to Sutala by the force of my mind.” Simply contemplating this way, Śrī Nārada reached Sutala.
