त्रैलोक्य-ग्रास-कृद् वृत्र-वधार्थं प्रार्थितः पुरा ।
औदासीन्यं भजंस् तत्र प्रेरयामास मां परम् ॥ २१ ॥trailokya-grāsa-kṛd vṛtra-vadhārthaṃ prārthitaḥ purā |
audāsīnyaṃ bhajaṃs tatra prerayāmāsa māṃ param || 21 ||Previously, when I petitioned Bhagavān to kill Vṛtrāsura, who was devouring the three worlds, He also remained indifferent to me at that time instead of personally coming to my aid. Rather He encouraged me to undertake the task by myself.
