vayupuranatah From Vayu Purana maharsivyasakrta brahmastutih Maharsi Vyasa-krta Brahmastuti (The Prayer of Brahma done by Maharsi Vyasa) prapadye devamisanam sasvatam dhruvamavyayam | mahadevam mahatmanam sarvasya jagatah patim ||1|| Prapadye devamisanam sasvatam dhruvamavyayam. Mahadevam mahatmanam sarvasya jagatah patim. (1) O Deva! you are the Lord of all, you are eternal, stable and immortal. You are the god of gods, you are the great soul and the master of the entire world, so I salute you. (1) brahmanam lokakartaram sarvajnamaparajitam | prabhum bhutabhavisyasya sampratasya ca satpatim ||2|| Brahmanm lokakartaram sarvajnamaparajita. Prabhuri bhutabhavisyasya sampratasya ca satpatiri. (2) You are the creator of all the three lokas, knower of all, unconquered by any one, the lord of past, present and the future, I salute you such Brahma. (2) jnanamapratimam yasya vairagyam ca jagatpateh | aisvaryam caiva dharmasca sahasiddhicatustayam ||3|| Jnanamapratimam yasya vairagyam ca jagatpateh. Aisvaryam caiva dharmasca sahasiddhicatustayari. (3) Whose knowledge is uncomparable (excellent), whose inertness (vairagy) is matchless, thus whose aisvarya (riches) and religiousness cannot be compared, the success of the four groups stand before whom with folded hands I salute such Brahma. (116) ya iman pasyate bhavan nityam sadasadatmakan | avisanti punastam vai kriyabhavarthamisvaram ||4|| Ya iman pasyate bhavan nityam sadasadatmakan. Avisanti punastam vai kriya bhavarthamisvaram. (4) Who remains seeing 'sat' ( eternal) and 'asat' (non-eternal) feelings, yet these feelings at the time of creation are vested in whom, I salute that god of Gods. (4) lokakrllokatattvajno yogamasthaya tattvavit | asrjat sarvabhutani sthavarani carani ca ||5|| Lokakrllokatattvajno yogamasthaya tattvavit. Asrjat_sarvabhutani sthavarani clarani ca. (5) He, who is the creator of lokas, knows the reality of lokas, who has perceived the reality (tattva) through yogasadhana (by means of yoga-the meditation) and then who has created all stable and mobile creatures, I salute such Brahma . (5) tamajam visvakarmanam citpatim lokasaksinam | puranakhyanajijnasurvrajami saranam prabhum || 6 || Tamajam visvakarmanam citpatim lokasaksinam. Puranakhyanajijnasurvrajami saranam Prabhum. (6) I have come to the shelter of such eternal, creator of the world, the Lord of chitta, God the (seer of lokas, so that I may hear from you the rare myths of Puranas.
